JB Hi-Fi feels stimulus effects fading

JB Hi-Fi said sales for March and April missed expectations as the effects of the Australian government's stimulus efforts faded and interest rates increased. "In hindsight, the government stimulus package supported sales last year more than we anticipated," the company said. "We remain cautious that recent interest rate rises are impacting consumer spending." However, the electronics retailer confirmed its guidance for the year.
