Southwest sees stronger revenue trend as traffic eases

Southwest Airlines said revenue per available seat mile rose as much as 19% in April, despite a 0.6% decline in traffic. Capacity was up 2.9%, and occupancy rose 1.8%, the company announced. So far this year, Southwest traffic has risen 1% on a 5.5% reduction in capacity.
