Calif. nuclear plant could remain offline into summer

The San Onofre nuclear plant in California could remain offline into the summer, said Theodore Craver, chairman, president and CEO of Edison International. The plant's reactors have been offline since January after workers found unusual degradation in the tubes inside the plant's steam generators. The facility's lengthened shutdown could cause reliability issues across the state when electricity demand surges, according to California's grid operator.
