RFID chipset firm reportedly will be purchased for $200M

AeroScout, a developer of radio-frequency identification chipsets, will be acquired by "a large multinational infrastructures company" for $200 million, Globes reports, without citing any sources. Originally known as Bluesoft, the company changed its focus in 2004 to RFID tags that transmit and receive signals on Wi-Fi networks. AeroScout was said to be unavailable for comment on the report.
