Senate panel OKs bill to make pediatric drugs and devices safer

A bill aimed at improving the safety of medical devices and drugs for children cleared the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. The measure, introduced by Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., as part of legislation to reauthorize FDA user fees, will go to a full vote in the Senate.
