Accenture continues to make marketing-focused moves

Accenture, which has served as a search consultant during reviews and recently earned a digital assignment from BMW, is moving further onto ad agencies' turf with the purchase of design firm Fjord. "Large consultancies are known for their relationships with chief information and technology officers, but Accenture's moves indicate a focus on forging bonds with chief marketing officers," writes Alexandra Bruell. Fjord's clients include Citibank, Harvard Medical School, PayPal and Nokia.
