SEC's White seeks 26% increase in agency's 2014 budget

Securities and Exchange Commission Chairwoman Mary Jo White went before a Senate Appropriations subcommittee Tuesday, asking for a 26% increase in the budget for her agency. She told lawmakers the bump in funding for fiscal 2014 is needed "to keep pace with the growing size and complexity of the securities markets."
