USA Today To Insert Content Into Math Texts

"The nation's newspaper" has made a deal to insert its graphics and articles in a series of pre-algebra and algebra textbooks published by McGraw-Hill, a report says. The publisher says the additional content, slated for the start of 2002-2003 school year, is to help students see the real-life applications of math concepts they study. Critics reportedly have said the deal is a marketing ploy because the newspaper's name is clearly displayed on its content.
