Sony pushes back launch of double-sided Blu-ray Disc

Although Sony has begun shipping single-layer Blu-ray Discs, the company said Friday it would delay its rollout of the dual-layer 50 GB capacity discs until June. The launch of the 50 GB discs, which come in write-once and rewritable versions that will retail for $48 and $60, respectively, will now coincide with the introduction of the first Blu-ray player from Samsung Electronics Co.
