Yahoo! ready to launch new search ad software

If Yahoo!'s new search ad placement software works as intended, it could mean an additional $600 million in company revenue in 2007, according to internal projections. In the works since late 2004, the revised automated keyword bid and purchase system, code-named "Project Panama," is designed to give advertisers a simpler interface as well as geo-targeting opportunities.
