GAO: Poor seniors may have missed out on millions in subsidies

A government watchdog says some low-income seniors may have passed over millions of dollars in federal drug subsidies because the government failed to tell them their rights. The Government Accountability Office says the government did not notify "dual eligible" seniors, those eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare, they could be reimbursed for past prescription buys at the time they enrolled in Medicare's drug plan.
