Schwarzenegger credited with spotlighting career education

Although California's increase in funding for career technical education is minimal, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's drive to put high school job-training courses on the state and national agenda is not. "Three years ago, the whole focus was college for all," said Steve Pinning, a career technical education director for the San Diego County Office of Education. "It's amazing how much influence the governor can have."
