Starbucks announces plan to eliminate trans fats

Starbucks Corp. will only use ingredients with naturally occurring fats for the food and beverages in all its stores in the continental U.S., Alaska and Canada by the end of 2007. The coffee retailer's announcement follows KFC and Taco Bell's switch to a trans-fat-free oil, and Wendy's, McDonald's and Burger King continue to phase out trans fats.
