DOJ goes after employers reluctant to re-hire injured vets

Employers are facing an increasing number of Department of Justice lawsuits for not promptly re-employing returning military veterans, a violation of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. The agency's Civil Rights Division has given a high priority to protecting the rights of injured veterans under provisions of the act.
