AAR honors railroads' safety performance with E.H. Harriman Awards

The Association of American Railroads honored railroads' safety performance with the annual E.H. Harriman Awards. "For almost a century, the Harriman Awards have long provided an excellent platform to highlight safety achievements throughout the railroad industry," said AAR CEO and President Edward Hamberger. "Through innovations in operations, technology and excellence in employee training programs, railroads continue to set safety records across the country." Norfolk Southern, Kansas City Southern, Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad and Union Railway were all given top honors in their respective groups.
