MDUFMA is on track for approval before election season

A House version of the Medical Device User Fee and Modernization Act is on track for approval after Republican efforts to change the FDA's mission failed. Lawmakers aim to pass the legislation before election season. "We're in an election year, and the further along we get, the greater the chance that the politics will overtake the good bipartisan work that's been done on this so far," said J.C. Scott, the Advanced Medical Technology Association's chief lobbyist.
