Student teams from across the U.S. are preparing to compete in the Team America Rocketry Challenge on Saturday. The national competition, co-sponsored by the Aerospace Industries Association, requires teams to build a rocket that flies 800 feet in the air and carries two eggs safely back to the ground. "We think it's really important that students have a way to get into math and science that's hands-on and fun," said Ann Ward, manager of the rocketry challenge. "It's just a really cool way to apply science."
