Study documents TAVR success in older patients

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement is a viable choice among high-risk elderly patients who have aortic stenosis, according to a French study that evaluated more than 3,000 patients with a mean age of 82.7 years. The multicenter study documented a 96.9% success rate with 30-day and one-year mortality rates of 9.7% and 24%, respectively.
