Charleston program teaches cooking, nutrition to students, families

The Cooking Matters after-school program in Charleston, S.C., sponsored by the Lowcountry Food Bank, provides hands-on nutrition and cooking classes for students and families in areas that do not have easy access to healthy foods. The program at Pinehurst Elementary School teamed up with the Charleston Area Children's Garden Project, which led to a school garden and a farmers market in the school cafeteria.
