Elop insists Nokia can compete with Apple, Samsung

As investors told Nokia's leader their patience with his turnaround efforts were running low, Chief Executive Stephen Elop insisted that he will stick with Microsoft as his partner and vowed to fight for market share in the U.S. "In today's war of ecosystems, we've made a very clear decision to focus on Windows Phone with our Lumia product line. And it is with that that we will compete with competitors like Samsung and Android," Elop said. Along those lines, Nokia produced a video for the Lumia 928 website comparing the new phone -- which Verizon Wireless will apparently launch this month -- with the iPhone and Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S III.
