Verizon Wireless CEO Dan Mead predicted strong sales for BlackBerry's Q10 phone, telling an investor conference Wednesday, "There seems to be a hunger for the qwerty keyboard." He also gave Windows Phone a vote of confidence and said it was important for the wireless industry to support "three to four" operating systems. Mead also reiterated that Verizon hopes to introduce voice over LTE in 2014 and small cell base stations this year. "We're working to make sure it's an exceptional service," he said of the VoLTE technology that will allow for video and HD Voice calls over the carrier's Long-Term Evolution network.
