Younger adults with diabetes show elevated stroke risk

A study in the journal Stroke found adult diabetes patients age 65 and younger were up to 12 times more likely than peers without diabetes to suffer a stroke. Researchers also observed that black and white diabetes patients of any age had an increased risk of ischemic stroke.
