CenturyLink adds 24,000 Prism subs, gains revenue

CenturyLink reported on Wednesday a revenue increase of nearly 1% from a year ago, a reversal of year-to-year declines posted in 2013 and 2012. The telecom's 3-year-old Prism TV service added 24,000 subscribers in the first quarter, bringing its total to nearly 200,000, and the company added 66,000 broadband customers. CEO Glen Post said the gigabit Internet service, introduced in Omaha, Neb., continues "to exceed expectations."
