Mobile drives major gains in real-time-bidding ad spend

Mobile is expected to be a driving factor in overall double-digit growth in the real-time-bidding field for years to come, according to eMarketer. The forecast is based on the sort of growth noted by Smaato in an April study, which found 459% growth in global real-time bidding spend on its mobile ad exchange over the past year. Entertainment and media led the way among mobile players, with a 37% share of ad spending on Smaato's exchange.
