Study: Employers educate workers to boost internal promotions

While nearly three-fourths of companies in a College for America survey say they want to promote from within for low- and midlevel management roles, they also acknowledge that developing the right leadership skills is difficult, China Gorman writes. "The good news though, is that many organizations are instituting employee development programs, and a high percentage of organizations are offering tuition reimbursement," Gorman writes.
