Business coalition pushes for health care reform

A new business coalition founded by Safeway chairman Steve Burd and comprised of 36 companies including PepsiCo, Kroger and Pacific Gas and Electric is launching a campaign promoting health insurance for all. Large companies that provide health insurance have a stake in controlling the rising cost of premiums, but small and midsize firms such as restaurants and retail stores, who often don't provide coverage, have generally resisted health care reform.
