Officials charge former Olympia Mortgage execs with fraud

U.S. officials charged two former executives of now-defunct Olympia Mortgage, Leib Pinter and Barry Goldstein, with fraud in schemes involving Fannie Mae and Credit Suisse First Boston. Prosecutors allege that Pinter defrauded the government-sponsored mortgage giant of more than $44 million, while Goldstein is accused of directing employees to create false documents for loans bought by Credit Suisse.
