Three carriers boost fuel surcharge to offset fuel costs

Three airlines boosted round-trip ticket prices by $20 this week to help offset the soaring price of jet fuel. The increase, initiated by Delta Air Lines, applies to most domestic routes. Airlines have also added fees for checking a second bag and are charging for in-flight meals to compensate for fuel costs.
