Quickservice industry fights "Happy Meal" laws state by state

The quickservice industry has launched a lobbying effort to convince state lawmakers to pass measures to prevent local governments from regulating restaurant marketing giveaways, a reaction to a San Francisco law passed last year to ban toys from children's meals that don't meet strict nutritional guidelines. Arizona is the first state to pass a law to prevent local governments from regulating giveaways of toys, crayons, prizes and other trinkets to their youngest guests.
