CMS proposes pay raise for primary care docs

Primary care doctors serving Medicaid patients would be given a temporary pay raise from 2013 to 2014, according to a proposed rule released by the CMS on Wednesday. Beginning Jan. 1, 2013, the rates of some primary care services for Medicaid would be in line with those for Medicare, effective through the end of 2014.
