IT leaders say they dread cloud complications more than root canal

The 2012 version of the Cisco Global Cloud Networking Survey found that almost 4 in 10 IT managers are fearful of the prospect of dealing with a new cloud system -- to the point that they'd rather do such joyless activities as a root canal or tax preparation. More than three-quarters say their sensitive data is likely to encounter a serious security problem during the transfer to the cloud. While more than half of those making the move to the cloud said they were doing so to improve performance, 41% said they were adopting the technology because so many other companies are doing so.
