Students at Antioch Middle School in Kansas City, Mo., recently learned more about the law when Judge Larry D. Harman stopped by to answer questions on topics ranging from the legality of backpack searches to the Bill of Rights. The visit -- arranged by social studies teacher Jessica Colgan -- was part of a court outreach effort to better inform the public about the legal system and encourage young people to consider law careers.
