A4A highlights fuel efficiency gains for airlines

Nancy Young, vice president of environmental affairs for Airlines for America, said the airline industry only accounts for 2% of carbon emissions in the U.S. today. Since 1978, fuel efficiency for airlines has improved by 120%. "It's the equivalent of taking 22 million cars off the road each year," she said.
