Ala. university, community colleges agree on joint-admission plan

The University of Alabama at Birmingham has agreed to allow graduates from four community colleges in the state to complete their junior and senior year at the institution. Under the joint-admission agreement, students also would be eligible for a yearly $2,000 scholarship, aimed at giving students more incentive to finish community college.
