China's online retail sales slow in Q1

First-quarter online sales in China fell 17.1% from the previous three-month period, but sales for the year are still expected to hit 1.85 trillion yuan, according to iResearch Consulting Group. "Several large-scale promotional campaigns at the end of 2012 consumed buyers' purchasing power -- that's the major reason for the decline," iResearch analyst Zhang Jing said.
