Calio letter: Stop singling out airline industry

Nicholas Calio, the president and CEO of Airlines for America, said a recent op-ed unfairly targeted the airline industry over the Transparent Airfares Act. The act would allow airlines to list government fees and taxes separately from fares, as the rest of the travel industry does. "The U.S. Department of Transportation effectively upended 25 years of precedent and confuses customers by creating different rules for advertising airline tickets versus other products," he writes in a letter to the editor.
