Enterprises challenged to make sense of gamification

Companies are increasingly turning to gamified applications to lure potential clients and engage existing ones, but the benefits of gamification remain largely misunderstood, and according to Gartner, most efforts are doomed to failure. Analysts forecast that 40% of Fortune 1000 firms will turn to gamified apps within the next year, but experts say it takes more than bells and whistles to make an exciting product.
