Only the "fiercely driven" survive, says Sonatype CEO

Running a tech company during the dot-com boom and seeing so many rivals subsequently wiped out convinced Sonatype CEO Wayne Jackson that the only way to succeed is to pour yourself fully into the work you do. That means staying late at the office, not taking "no" for an answer and seizing every opportunity that comes your way. "When the stakes are so high, and there's so much talent and so much money chasing opportunity, you have to be absolutely, fiercely driven. Otherwise, you're creating your own risk," he says.
