Report: Cultural factors in Asian nations contribute to educational success

South Korea, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong earned the top four spots in the Global Index of Cognitive Skills and Educational Attainment -- an education ranking produced by Pearsons. According to an accompanying report, experts found that cultural factors at play in the Asian nations are a common trend. Experts also attribute the countries' success to administering standardised tests to mobilise students and others and establishing set goals.
