Florida union disputes state's teacher salary report

A new Florida Department of Education report places the state's average teachers' salary, adjusted for factors such as retirement and bonuses, above the national average, a ranking the Florida Education Association disputes. Because each state calculates its average salary differently, Florida Education Commissioner John Winn has persuaded federal officials to study standardizing the criteria.
