Accor plans 70 Ibis hotels in Asia Pacific

French hotel group Accor says it plans to expand in the Asia Pacific region and will open a 538-room Ibis hotel in Singapore that will be its largest economy hotel outside of Paris. The hotel, due to open in 2009, is one of 70 three-star Ibis hotels planned for the Asia Pacific region.
