Frank announces House hearing to scrutinize SEC

With critics saying the Securities and Exchange Commission favors firms over investors through its policies, Barney Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, said his panel would hold a hearing to look into the matter. "There have been concerns that various people have voiced," Frank said. "There is no point in prejudging, but obviously there are enough questions in the air that we are holding a hearing."
