Maryland community college student plants rain garden

A student project at Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland led to the design of a rain garden for a walking trail on campus. Student Eileen Catte designed the garden to prevent erosion and storm runoff as a project for an environmental science class. After $24,000 in grants were obtained to fund the project and other gardens, Catte and about 40 other students and staff planted the rain garden last month.
