Alabama installs booms, gates to keep oil spill at bay

Mobile, Ala., is the nation's 9th-busiest seaport, and it hopes to keep the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico from reaching the port. Alabama officials installed oil-blocking booms at the bay's mouth, which will allow for two gates for ships entering the port. Mobile Bay also is home to 80 miles of coast with wetlands and marshes.
