Colo. legislators are poised to vote on teacher reforms

The Colorado House is set to vote today on a controversial bill that would tie teacher evaluations to students' academic progress and tighten the requirements for teachers to earn and retain tenure. Support for the bill is divided along party lines, with most Democrats, as well as the 40,000-member Colorado Education Association, opposing the bill. Most Republican legislators support the legislation.
