Discount chains are finding favor with landlords

Discount retail operations haven't always had the easiest time finding new store space, as commercial landlords sought more upscale tenants. Things have improved for companies including Dollar Tree and low-priced grocer ALDI -- landlords have begun courting the discounters in the face of record post-recession vacancy rates, the Star Tribune reports.
