Fonterra eyes Middle East growth

Countries in the Middle East and East Africa offer growth potential for Fonterra because the populations are wealthy and like to drink milk, said Mark Wilson, the company's director for Asia, Middle East and Africa. Opportunities are particularly strong in Saudi Arabia, where 70% of the population is considered middle- to upper-middle class, women are becoming more informed and osteoporosis is a problem.
