Michigan invests in highway, bridge and rail work

A host of new transportation infrastructure projects could help resuscitate Michigan's construction industry as the state works to emerge from recession. About 50 projects are under way, including a bridge over the Detroit River, work on Interstates 94 and 75 and a light-rail system. A report by transportation research group TRIP underscores the bridge as one of the state's most important projects.
