Pa. district enlists mascots to promote summer meals

The McKeesport Area School District in Pennsylvania has recruited Penn State University's Nittany Lion, along with its own McKeesport Area Tiger to help promote summer meals for students. The effort, "Lunch with the Lion," will help draw attention to the free breakfast and lunch program provided through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Officials said they want to spread the word about the program because far more students need free meals than are being served.
