Congressional committee discusses future of exoplanet exploration

The House space and research subcommittees were scheduled to hold hearings Thursday on the discovery of three exoplanets similar to Earth and may support life. Scientists spotted Kepler-62e, Kepler-62f and Kepler-69c in April using the Kepler space telescope. The hearings were scheduled to address the importance of the discovery and the future of exoplanet exploration.
